Our Journey
Largest Latvian clay brick industry established in Kalnciems
Kalnciems woodworking traditions established
Full-cycle timber construction business founded in Kalnciems
Windows Latvia launched as independent brand
The history of Windows Latvia is closely tied to the woodworking traditions of Kalnciems, where timber processing has been part of the local economy for well over a century. This foundation of deep material expertise set the stage for everything that followed.
In 2005, a full-cycle timber construction business was established in Kalnciems, covering design, engineering, production, and on-site assembly of timber-frame buildings. Wooden windows were engineered as an essential part of this building system, not a separate product, leading to highly advanced solutions including passive-house standard systems and fire-resistant constructions.
The business expanded rapidly into export markets, delivering up to 95% of production to Scandinavia and later across Europe and beyond: Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Canada, and New Zealand. Window manufacturing alone reached approximately 15,000 m² annually.
In 2024, recognizing the strength of its window division, the company strategically separated this segment into Windows Latvia. Production remained in the same Kalnciems facility, ensuring full continuity of expertise, workforce, and infrastructure.
Today, Windows Latvia combines 15+ years of industrial experience with modern CNC processing, deep wood impregnation, and advanced multi-layer coating systems. Our product range includes inward and outward-opening systems, Scandinavian-type windows, wood-aluminium cladding, and solutions with double, triple, or quadruple glazing.
